Dental Implants to anchor a complete new set of teeth

Through dental implant technology removable dentures are no longer the ultimate fate for those of us with bad teeth. This technology has been developed over the past 35 years to the point where it is safe and reliable in the hands of an experienced Implantologist.

First we ensure that the bone structure underlying your gums is adequate and then set a number of artificial root, or implants, directly into the bone. This is a two stage operation and will generally take about six - eight months to complete.

In the second stage we make and fit a complete new set of crown (top & bottom) so that not only will you have teeth again, but they will be far better than anything you can remember.

The base price of completely restoring a complete set of teeth is 14,000 GBP / 15500 Euros / 24000 USD, but it is highly likely that this figure will be exceeded. There are two issues that will cause this:

• Periodontal Disease
• Bone Loss

We cannot begin to implant until the bone and gums are clear of periodontal disease. To do so would almost certainly lead to the failure of the implants.

When teeth are lost it is very often the case that the crater left by the extracted root will mean there is insufficient depth or breadth of bone to hold the implant securely. We overcome this by bone grafting and guided tissue regeneration. The extent to which this is needed by individuals will vary which makes it impossible to quote a firm cost without seeing a panoramic x-ray or CT scan.
