The cost of Dental implants in many countries is very high, meaning they are beyond the means of many ordinary people. However, low cost air travel now means that dentures are not the only alternative.

The cost of living in Hungary is far lower than in many countries and this translates into much lower dental costs than in most of Europe, the UK, Ireland, the USA and Canada. On average you can expect to save between about two-third and a half of what you will pay at home.

However you do need to be cautious. When dental implants fail the most common reason is because they were not fitted properly or under the right circumstances. The skill and experience of the Dental surgeon is the key factor.

Our clinical director: Professor Janos Szabo has been at the forefront of implantology since 1978. He has worked with the major dental manufacturers to help them develop their products. As head of the dental school at Pécs University he has taught hundreds of dentists and has personally set thousands of dental implants for patients from across the world.

We use only the best dental implants made in America, Germany & Switzerland. They are the same you would be given by the very best dentists in your home country.

Our clinic was fitted out in 2009 to the professor's own specifications and affords the very best level of comfort and the latest 'high-tech' equipment. We specialise in fitting Zirconium crowns which make an aesthetically superior and more durable tooth than the traditional porcelain. Because of the number we fit, we can do this for far less than you will be offered back home.

Dental Implants Cost Structure

Dental Implant Components
There are actually three components you need to know about:

  • The Crown

  • The abutment

  • The implant

It is only when you add all three together that you will find the true cost of having your dental implants fitted.

You need to be interested in to
'Total Cost' of your dental implants restoration.

Bone deficiency
A good quality and quantity of bone is needed to hold the implants securely so they can withstand the dynamic forces inside the mouth. When teeth have been lost or when there have been gum problems this can lead to lead to a loss of bone. There are procedures to compensate for this. They are performed during the implantation operation, but do increase the overall cost.

Dental Augmentation and Sinus Lifts

An augmentation procedure may be necessary to ensure successful implantation. This can be done during the implantation operation and so probably won't increase your time away from home. It will however increase the cost of your treatment.

There are no reliable 'rules of thumb' as to who will and who will not need bone augmentation and the only way to be sure is through an x-ray. If you have a recent 'panoramic x-ray' you can send us a copy as an email attachment for Professor Szabo's evaluation. The Professor will then send you a reliable personal quotation.

Multiple Restoration
Where multiple adjacent teeth are to be restored this may be done using a bridge. In this case you may not need one implantation for each tooth.  Replacing three teeth using a bridge made from porcelain fused to metal may come to a total of only £1590 and not £2190 as might be thought from a price list.

Easy Payments
We are often asked if we operate a pay by instalments scheme. We have investigated these and find that we would need to increase our base price to fund them.

We do accept payment by credit or debit card but our banks impose handing fees which again mean we have to make a surcharge of 2.5% in the case of Visa and MasterCard and 3.5% for Amex.

However, implantation is a two step process. You first need the implantation operation after which we need to allow time for the implant to be integrated into your jaw bone.  After a healing period of 4 - 6 months you need to return for the new crown to be fitted.

You do not need to pay the whole fee at one time. You pay for the work done during each visit. If you do not need grafting therefore this will work out at about 70% for the first visit and 30% for the second.
