Having Dental Implants fitted is the best way to replace your missing teeth.

Dental Implants need not be expensive. Our prices are low because:

  • Costs in Hungary are lower
  • We fit large numbers 
  • We use the most competitive products internationally.

Dental Implants - What are they?

Dental implants are artificial roots. They are made from surgical titanium. We fit them into the jaw bone in place of your natural root. They are completely bio-compatible.

 

Dental Implants cost 450 GB Pounds each. This includes fitting, anaesthetics, sedatives, sutures etc., but not two other essential items:

  • The abutment - a post which fits into the artificial root
  • The crown - the tooth that can be seen above the gum

Dental Implant Abutments are usually charged separately and can cost around 150 GBP. We provide them free.

 

Dental Crowns are either made from

  • Porcelain fused to metal which cost 190 GBP
  • Zirconium which cost 290 GBP

Add the implant + the abutment + the crown to find your total.
e.g. £450 + Free + 190 = £640

Different Implant Brands

All dental implant manufacturers charge differently prices. It is often wrongly suggested that the more expensive ones are a better quality. In truth the main difference is often the amount spent on advertising. However one brand of implant can sometimes be more appropriate than another. These are differences that the implantologist will appreciate, but none that will be noticed by the patient. You can be sure the implants we fit for you will be appropriate and lasting.

Each Implant is Guaranteed

We guarantee all dental implants we fit for five years. Others advertise longer guarantees for their implants but this is misleading. Our guarantee covers problems arising from the fitting not just for the device itself.

 

With no moving parts an implant has little or no prospect of failure, but one fitted badly can result in problems after a while. A guarantee that does not cover fitting is worthless.


Professor Szabo is highly qualified and very experienced. He fits most implants personally and his reputation is a further valuable guarantee of quality.

Other issues to Consider

Every dental implant needs a good quality and quantity of bone to hold it. Without a firm base the implant will become loose and fail. When teeth are lost; bone can be lost as well. To ensure yoir implant is firmly held it may be necessary to regenerate / graft the bone.

 

Bone grafting can be done at the same time as implantation but will increase the cost of the implant operation.

 

Bone grafting for an implant on the lower jaw costs 420 GBP. With an implant in the upper jaw we have to undertake a more complex "Sinus Lift" procedure which costs 600 GBP.

 

The only way to tell in advance if you will need grafting when your implants are fitted is to send us a panoramic x-ray. Alternatively we can plan the implant operation with a CT scan for those who can get to London, England.

Fixed Bridgework

An implant may not be necessary for each and every crown we fit. By using bridgework we can fit a series of crowns splinted to one another, all of which provide mutual strength and support for the others. For example, if you have lost all your teeth we would aim to fit two 14 tooth bridges - one for each jaw. However to anchor these 28 new teeth we are generally able to use only 18 anchorage points.

 

Fixed bridgework should not be confused with dentures that need to be removed for cleaning every day and require regular maintenance work. Bridgework remains fixed at all times. It is cared for in the same way as natural teeth.

CT Scan in London England

For those patients who live in the UK we can arrange a CT scan in London's West End. We use an independent imaging centre who will email the files to us for Professor Szabo to review personally. The CT scan gives a detailed 3D picture of your teeth and gums. This will enable the Professor to give a complete prescription of all your dentistry needs.
