Cosmetic Tooth whitening

Many cosmetic whitening options are now available. There are even preparations you can use at home. Some beauty parlours have recently started to offer tooth whitening as part of an overall beauty regime, but this is an area where you should use some caution. A one day course is no substitute for the years it takes to train a dentist and using dental bleach of the wrong strength can have disastrous consequences.

Cosmetic Veneers to Correct Gaps and crooked Teeth

Dental Veneers can also offer an effective remedy for closing unwanted gaps between teeth and can even help to straighten crooked teeth. Because each veneers is hand made to fit each tooth and to fit your personal specification we need some time to make them. However, at Professor Szabo's dentist clinic in Heviz we have our own 'on site' dental laboratory and can make and fit a set of veneers in just 3 working days. Each veneer cost 210 GB Pounds plus x-ray costs.

Crooked or Crowded Teeth

If the dentist cannot correct your unsightly teeth using dental veneers there are still cosmetic remedies available.

Cosmetic Crowns

If the tooth is severely rotated or damaged, then a new dental crown may well provide a remedy to the problem. Your existing teeth can be shaped to provide anchorage for the dental crowns - or caps, that will then sit over them. In some cases of overcrowding it may be necessary to extract one or two teeth and perhaps use a dental bridge rather than separate crowns. A bridge is essentially a number of teeth joined together which support a 'floating tooth' that spans a gap.

Like Veneers, dental crowns are hand made to fit each individual in terms of colour, shape and size. We make them in our own 'on site' dental laboratory, but because there is usually more preparation work involved in fitting a crown these usually take one week. Crowns are made from two different materials: porcelain fused to metal which cost 190 GB Pounds and dental Zirconium which cost 290 GB Pounds.

Occasionally it is necessary to change the angle of the bite and to do this may mean the dentist needs to use a post rather than the old tooth itself. We hollow out the existing root and use it as anchorage for the post.

Alternatively we may need to extract the root and set a new artificial root, or dental implant, in your jaw. In either case a new crown is then fixed to the post and in this way the angle of your bite is adjusted.

New ceramic or Zirconium, crowns: As long as the root is intact, a new crown is a relatively straightforward and affordable solution.
